Author Event: Andrea Routley, This Unlikely Soil

Local author, former GDPL staff member, and Lamda Award finalist Andrea Routley reads from her new book of stories, This Unlikely Soil. Funny, incisive and sometimes heart-breaking, the linked novellas explore the failures of kindness and connection among a rural community of queer women. A bear with a hemorrhoid, a berried-up Dungeness crab, a perimeter of slugs… the dense coastal landscape mirrors and shapes the characters’ lives.
