Author Event: Jim Christy & David MacKinnon: Blazing a Trail to Blaise Cendrars

Local author Jim Christy and Amsterdam writer David MacKinnon recently collaborated on Blaise Cendrars Speaks, a translation of radio interviews with Blaise Cendrars. Cendrars, a one-armed Swiss poet who gave birth to the Modernist movement in literature, discovered artists Fernand Leger, Marc Chagall, and Robert Doisneau, and collaborated with artist Sonia Delauney-Terk. Jim and David will describe their journey to Cendrars and his lasting influence on jazz, rock, and the Beat Poets, as well as read from their book in the spirit of Cendrars.
