Come discuss Janie Chang’s novel, The Porcelain Moon. Set against the little-known history of the Chinese workers brought to Europe as labourers during WWI, this is a tale of what two women—one French, one Chinese—are willing to risk for forbidden love, belonging, identity, and freedom.

Ms. Chang appeared at the 2023 Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts. She will visit our book club on Sep 28th by Zoom, and will read from her books in person here at the Library on Sat Nov 4th.
