Lights of Life Kickoff
Saturday November 23 @ 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
A Sunshine Coast Hospice holiday tradition since 1992, Lights of Life provides an opportunity for the public to pause and reflect on the memory of their loved one(s) during the busy holiday season.
Hospice volunteers provide ornaments for people to write a loving tribute, or simply the names of their loved one(s) who have died, and hang it on a tree. On New Years’ Day, the ornaments are gathered and then brought to a ceremonial public beach bonfire event called Lighting of the Memories.
Hospice volunteers help to create a safe space for people to remember and talk about memories of loved one(s), share how they are coping with grief, or learn about the services offered through the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society.
All ages welcome. Drop-in.
